Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Nadirah Brown
A passionate girl's mentor dedicated to inspiring and empowering young girls in urban communities, she brings both lived experience and professional expertise to her work. She is a proud graduate of Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Crime Scene Investigation, further strengthening her commitment to justice, accountability, and community safety. Her professional career spans adult probation and parole and community corrections, where she has worked extensively with both male and female populations throughout Philadelphia. Through this work, she has developed a deep understanding of the social, economic, and systemic challenges faced by justice-involved individuals—insight that directly informs her mentoring approach and commitment to early intervention for youth. As a mother of a daughter, she is deeply invested in creating safe, affirming spaces where young girls feel seen, supported, and empowered. A former basketball standout and 1,000-point career scorer, she uses her athletic background to instill lessons of discipline, resilience, teamwork, and leadership. Through mentorship, education, and advocacy, she remains committed to uplifting the next generation of young women and helping them recognize their worth, strength, and limitless potential.
Executive Assistant and Mentor, Pricy Paul
I am an MBA student at Montclair State University studying Business Administration and Entrepreneurship, a community organizer, and a passionate advocate for youth empowerment. My mission is to help young girls find their voices, believe in themselves, and recognize the opportunities that exist within their own communities. I am the creator and host of the podcast Who Am I to Lie, which provides a safe space for young girls to speak freely, feel heard, and grow with confidence. Through my work in marketing, community organizing, and youth development, I strive to be a positive and consistent presence in young girls’ lives—encouraging them, uplifting them, and pushing them to become the strongest and best versions of themselves.
Secretary, Cieola Nesmith-McRae
As secretary of Adjust Your Crown Inc., I operate as the custodian of the organization’s records ensuring all critical documents are organized, safely stored, and readily accessible to board and team members. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Education. Currently, I teach for Irvington Public Schools. I have dedicated many years of volunteering in the community for Pop Warner Youth as a Team Mom and Assistant Cheer Coach, former Youth President at New Bethel Baptist Church, active PTA Vice President and Advisory Council board member for Irvington Public Schools. I've always been a resourceful contributor to the community and hope to reflect those attributes in the organization. Through mentorship, we create a safe and empowering space where girls are seen, heard, supported, and encouraged to become the best version of themselves. I believe every girl deserves to know her worth, use her voice, and walk confidently in her purpose. I am passionate about mentoring young girls because so many of them are walking around with big dreams and quiet doubts at the same time—and the right mentor can make all the difference to bridge the gap between potential and purpose.
Mentor, Latisha Lane
I am an educator, mentor, and advocate with over a decade of experience supporting children and families through relationship-centered, culturally responsive education. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Studies and maintain a standard teaching certification in New Jersey. My work has always been rooted in one core belief: when people feel safe, seen, and supported, they rise. From early childhood classrooms to virtual learning spaces, I have created environments that prioritize trust, consistency, and high expectations—spaces where children are encouraged to be their full, authentic selves. I specialize in blending academic support with social-emotional learning, leadership development, and self-esteem building—skills that extend far beyond the classroom. Through Adjust Your Crown, I am honored to walk alongside young girls as they learn to adjust their crowns with confidence, resilience, and pride, knowing they are supported every step of the way.
